This weekend is the United Football League’s debut, and the league is partnered with some of the biggest names in media for their first season.

That includes its audio partner.

The UFL announced late last week that its games broadcast by Fox Sports will be simulcast on Fox Sports Radio on SiriusXM channel 83, and games that are on ESPN will air two channels back, on ESPN Xtra on Sirius channel 81 (The UFL | UFL Games to Air Nationwide on SiriusXM).

Of course, that means games will not only be available for listeners in their vehicles, but also on the app.

The season begins Saturday, a 10-week regular season, with the league’s eight teams: the Arlington Renegades, the Houston Roughnecks, the San Antonio Brahmas, the Memphis Showboats, the Birmingham Stallions, the St. Louis Battlehawks, the Michigan Panthers, and the D.C. Defenders.

Birmingham at Arlington kicks off at 2 p.m. Eastern / 1 Central on Saturday, making it the first official UFL game. The Renegades, coached by Bob Stoops, play at Choctaw Stadium, the former Ballpark at Arlington.

SiriusXM, of course, is a heavyweight. It’s noted in the UFL’s release on the partnership that the Sirius brand has a combined monthly audience of approximately 150 million listeners, More about Sirius and their products right here: www.siriusxm.com.

And our main story on the UFL, including previews for each team, will hit this week.
