We don’t know for SURE who the Tennessee Titans will take with the first overall pick in the NFL Draft tonight.
Come to think of it, we don’t know for absolutely positive that it’ll even BE the Titans on the clock, although most everyone in this business seems to think that A) the Titans will indeed be drafting first and that B) they’ll draft Miami quarterback Cam Ward with that selection.
We do know this: whomever is throwing passes for the Titans next year, they’ll have at least two seasoned, veteran receivers on the other end.
The Titans have agreed to a deal with Tyler Lockett, the longtime Seattle Seahawk, on a one-year contract that, with incentives, could pay Lockett as much as $6 million.
Lockett joins Calvin Ridley in the locker room – Ridley is a bit well-traveled, but has produced in both Atlanta and in Jacksonville.
Lockett became a former Seahawk with his release in early March. The 32-year-old caught 600 yards and two touchdowns a year ago, and in 2023, had 894 yards’ worth of production and five scores.
The 10-year veteran left Seattle behind only Steve Largent in many receiving categories. He finished his run with the Seahawks with 661 catches, 8,594 yards receiving, and 61 touchdowns.
