Well, well, well – that’s an awfully-deep subject.

So’s this one: the Minnesota Vikings have traded for running back Cam Akers, late of the Los Angeles Rams. ESPN reported the trade early Wednesday evening (Vikings bolster run game, get RB Cam Akers in trade with Rams – ESPN).

Akers was de-activated last weekend prior to the Rams’ game against the San Francisco 49ers, a game the Rams went on to lose, 30-23 (even though they kicked a bizarre field goal with time expiring, still not sure about that one).

Akers had 786 yards and seven touchdowns last year in limited action (through 15 games), and this year, he has 29 yards and a score.
