Harbaugh out, Ohio State actually playing a game as Big 10 season begins

Big 10 Preview

The Big 10 Conference is starting off a little – well – weird this year.

Ohio State actually has somewhat of a semblance of an actual football game in week one, believe it or not. The Buckeyes actually are on the road to take on Indiana in the very first game of the season, rather than playing at home against Sulligent (Alabama) High School, or some such institution.

And Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh? He’s gotten the big-boy equivalent of standing in the corner, having been suspended for a handful of games.

Then there’s the impending cloud of realignment that’s coming a year from now, and suddenly, you’ve got yourself an interesting season, boy!

That’s what David Kenyon of the Bleacher Report would have us believe, anyway.

Kenyon has written a good piece previewing the Big 10’s 2023 season here (https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10087025-big-ten-football-preview-and-predictions-for-2023-season), and my favorite part, I think, is when he calls Ohio State coach Ryan Day’s seat “tepid” instead of hot.

He points out early-on that some heavyweights from the Pac-12 – heck, it seems like the whole conference, but it’s Southern Cal, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington – are all headed into the Big 10 next year.

Are we one day headed to the Big 20?
