Is it possible for a team in New York to fly under the radar?

That was part of a headline for an ESPN feature on the New York Giants on Saturday, in advance of the Giants’ Sunday night home game against the Dallas Cowboys on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football.”

Jordan Raanan deduces that the Giants are liking all the attention that the NEW YORK JETS are getting, as a result of all the Aaron Rodgers hubbub in the offseason (Giants like flying under radar amid Aaron Rodgers, Jets hype – ESPN – New York Giants- ESPN).

A quote from Raanan’s story, to illustrate his point: “That is how we like it,” defensive lineman Leonard Williams said (Williams is a former Jet). “We don’t have a bunch of guys that need a lot of attention to feel good about ourselves or anything like that. Not saying [the Jets] do or anything like that, but I don’t think that is what this team is striving for — to be in the [spotlight].

“At the end of the day, we just want to win.”

The Giants and Cowboys begin the 2023 season with an NFC East game against each other on arguably the game’s biggest stage now, on “Sunday Night Football.” Rodgers and the Jets will play the night after, also in a spotlight game and also a division game, facing rival Buffalo on “Monday Night Football” on ESPN.
