In just the fifth game with no punts in the history of the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys got a come-from-behind 41-35 win over the Seattle Seahawks Thursday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, their 14th straight win at home (Dak Prescott throws for 3 TDs, Cowboys extend home win streak to 14 with 41-35 win over Seahawks).
Seattle drops to 6-5 overall, suffering their third straight loss, and now really has to hope the Philadelphia Eagles deal the San Francisco 49ers a defeat on Sunday – otherwise the Niners will be three games up on Seattle in the NFC West Division, with the clock rapidly winding down on the regular randon
The Cowboys just about blew the game. Seattle led until the Cowboys scored on a 12-yard pass to Jake Ferguson with about 4 1/2 minutes left. Even then, the Seahawks had one more chance, but Micah Parsons chased down Seattle quarterback Geno Smith, forcing him to throw the ball away with 1:07 left on fourth down, turning the ball back to Dallas and allowing the Cowboys the win.
Brandon Aubrey kicked four field goals for the Cowboys (9-3), who are two games back from the Eagles in the NFC East, with their game against the Niners to go.
The Cowboys’ 14 straight wins is the longest since they won 18 straight at home from 1979-81.
