Well, well, well – look who’s back.
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray announced on X (former Twitter) on Wednesday that he will return to practice that very day (he simply wrote “Practicing today” on his account) and so will safety Budda Baker, coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed.
Murray has missed every game the Cardinals have played since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his knee last December. The Cardinals have been one of the worst teams in the NFL since then, although they did upset Dallas earlier this year. Arizona is 1-5 this season.
“Obviously, he’s our franchise quarterback, so I was happy about it,” Gannon said.
There is this: the quarterback’s return was categorized as an “organizational decision” by Gannon, although he acknowledged that Murray will play a big role in making that decision.
Baker also returned to practice on Wednesday after missing every game since the season opener with a hamstring injury.
Gannon described both players as “day-to-day.”
Arizona visits Seattle (3-2) on Sunday at 3:05 p.m. on FOX.
