Buckeyes to visit White House April 14

“Why the heck didn’t you play…”

We have no way of knowing whether or not President Donald J. Trump will give Ohio State head football coach Ryan Day any advice, or ask any questions of the 2024 national title-winning coach when the Buckeyes visit the White House in April.

But we do know he’ll have his chance.

Day confirmed on Monday that the Buckeyes, who won the first-ever College Football Playoff when it went to a four-team format, then this past season, won the first-ever 12-team CFP, will visit the President on Monday, April 14.

The Buckeyes defeated Notre Dame, 34-23, at the Mercedes Benz Dome in Atlanta to claim the national title; that was actually also Ohio State’s first title since that four-team playoff to end the 2014 season.

And you can bet Vice President J.D. Vance will be on hand for the visit: Vance is an Ohio State alumnus.

Two weeks to the day after Trump has a visit from Ohio State, he’ll get another, this one from the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
