NOW do you think the New York Giants regret letting running back Saquon Barkley out the door?

The former Giants draft pick – who now suits up for the NFC East Division rival Philadelphia Eagles – ran for 255 yards, now an Eagles franchise record, and two second-half touchdowns from 70 and 72 yards out to help Philly beat the L.A. Rams by 17, 37-20, on Sunday night.

It was the seventh straight win for the Eagles (9-2), who are serious contenders, along with the Detroit Lions, for home field advantage in the NFC playoffs.

In addition to being a franchise record, it was the ninth-most yards in a single game in the history of the league.

The 70-yard score was on the first play from scrimmage of the second half, and then he scored again, an insurance touchdown, with 2:44 left in the game.

He finished with 302 total yards. And on the season, he’s got 1,392 of ‘em.

The previous single-game rushing yards record was held by – who else? – LeSean McCoy, set in 2013.

Also for the Eagles, Jalen Hurts threw for 179 yards and a touchdown pass to A.J. Brown – Brown finished with six catches for 109 yards.

For the Rams, playing at home at massive SoFi Stadium, it was a setback – Seattle beat Arizona on Sunday and now those two teams are tied atop the NFC West. The Rams and 49ers are both now 5-6.

Puka Nacua had nine catches for 117 yards; Cooper Kupp had a 27-yard touchdown in the game’s final 1:10; Kyren Williams had a TD run for L.A. and Demarcus Robinson had a TD catch from quarterback Matthew Stafford, who was sacked five times.

The Eagles are on the road again Sunday, taking on Baltimore at 3:25 p.m. Central on CBS; the Rams play at New Orleans, at 3:05 p.m. on FOX.
