There’s only so much one can do with potential.
In fact, it’s often said potential gets more coaches fired than anything else.
But Texas A&M added more – potential – on Thursday with the announcement by Timpson, Texas quarterback Terry Bussey that he is committing to the Aggies.
ESPN.com had this story on the announcement on Friday morning: Terry Bussey, No. 25 recruit in ’24 class, commits to Texas A&M.
Timpson, a small school in East Texas, is highly-ranked in all the state’s high school football polls, and Bussey (5-foot-11, 185 pounds) is a big land for A&M – the number 25 recruit in the ESPN 300.
Bussey’s final five were A&M, Oklahoma, Texas, LSU and Alabama, according to the story.
The quarterback, who has Timpson unbeaten through the young season so far, passed for 2,177 yards and 26 touchdowns last year, then ran for 2,596 yards and a ridiculous 46 touchdowns. And defensively, he had five interceptions, three kickoff returns for touchdowns, a punt return for a touchdown, and 115 tackles, to boot.
That gives A&M 10 of the ESPN 300 recruits in this coming signing class.
