For one Sunday, at least, there was a good quarterback performance at MetLife Stadium.

Of course, that quarterback was wearing a visitor’s uniform.

Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield went 24-of-30 for 294 yards, and also ran for a 10-yard touchdown – at the end of which, mocking the celebration of brand-new New York Giants starter at QB, Tommy DeVito. The Bucs whipped the Giants, 30-7, and in the process ended a four-game losing streak.

Tampa (5-6) did all of that without injured left tackle Tristan Wirfs, replaced in the lineup by Justin Skule.

The Bucs will play at Carolina on Sunday, a 3:05 p.m. Central time kickoff on FOX. The Giants, meanwhile, fall to 2-9 and have lost six straight games, and have lost all of their home games this year.

DeVito, replacing the now-released Daniel Jones in the line-up, threw for 189 yards.

Tampa Bay ran for four touchdowns: Mayfield’s, as well as Sean Tucker and Rachaad White, each for a yard, and Bucky Irving, who ran for a 6-yard score.

Tampa scored on five of its first six drives, going up 30-0. Tampa finished with 450 total yards.

The Giants’ only score was a 1-yard run by Devin Singletary in the fourth quarter, set up by a 17-yard run by DeVito.
